As I painted “A New Song”, I thought of the many wonders in nature. The diligence of birds, as they teach and care for their young, is an incredible sight. I thought of the songs they sing each and every morning. Their melody inspired this little poem:
Teach the children a new song,
An old song,
A true song,
A song about love,
A song about life,
A new life in Jesus Christ.

Our children need our steadfast, unconditional love each and every day. One day they will teach their children a new song. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
