Destined
For Greatness
Imagine
the life of a tiger caged in a zoo with bars all around, and nothing to do.
Some think the tiger is one of God’s greatest creatures. It is definitely
one of the most magnificent. The painting began with thoughts of this tiger
longing to be free. His gaze speaks to me. He knows that he does not belong
in this place. This world around him has confined him, but he knows who he
is. He knows of his strength and his rightful place in his natural environment.
Imagine the life of a Christian, trapped in a world of greed and deceit. Out
of place, and sometimes discouraged, we need to remember our place in this world.
John 14: 1-3 says, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,
believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were
not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am ye may be also.”
This is our assurance. He would not have said it, if it were not so.
